Introducing vinTOKEN, the vinACCESS app for robust smartphone authentication

The new app simplifies authentication system management and eliminates costs, as it requires no additional devices beyond a smartphone. It guarantees robust authentication using a one-time password in four modes.

vinACCESS , the flexible, robust authentication system chosen by leading Spanish financial and distribution companies, is now expanding and strengthening its range of authenticators with the vinTOKEN mobile app. The new app offers corporations convenience, speed, and cost savings in user access to their systems and applications, while guaranteeing robust authentication via one-time passwords in four modes.

Available for Android, Windows Mobile, Apple iOS and Blackberry, the vinTOKEN app allows the user or customer of a service to authenticate to the company’s systems and applications using only their smartphone or tablet.

vinTOKEN simplifies and speeds up access for new users, facilitates system administration, and eliminates the usual costs of managing, acquiring, distributing, and replacing authentication devices and components. The app’s availability in marketplaces also eliminates the management and distribution costs of software for authentication from tablets and smartphones.

Four OTP authenticators

vinTOKEN provides four OATH-compatible authenticators: time-based authenticator, event-based authenticator, numeric challenge and response authenticator, and QR code-based challenge and response authenticator.

For the user, vinTOKEN adds convenience, simplicity, and security to their authentication process. Once installed on their smartphone from the corresponding marketplace, the user only needs to register with the system, and the application is ready to generate dynamic keys that allow secure authentication to the organization’s applications.

vinACCESS, flexible and robust authentication with a wide range of authenticators

With vinTOKEN, vinACCESS’s adaptive multi-authentication technology expands the set of authentication mechanisms available to its customers.

vinACCESS allows organizations to choose from a wide range of robust authentication methods for each of their users and to make them compatible with other authentication technologies if needed. In addition to the four vinTOKEN authenticators, vinACCESS supports OTP via SMS, email, and coordinate card; CAPTCHA translation token; integration with RSA SecurID and other similar systems; and authentication via digital certificate or electronic ID card (DNI-e) for any certification authority.

vinACCESS also offers a guarantee of integrating new authentication methods at the customer’s request, which consolidates it as the most flexible robust authentication system.

These features have made vinACCESS the authentication system of choice for leading Spanish companies in the banking, insurance, and distribution sectors, enabling it to sell over 100,000 licenses in Spain. vinACCESS is a product of the Spanish manufacturer Víntegris.
